Aluminium extrusion

Extruded aluminium profiles to your die or drawing — from standard architectural sections to fine, small-section precision work.

Request a quote for this category

We extrude aluminium profiles in the common 6000-series alloys, with cutting, straightening and in-house finishing so a profile can leave the plant ready to use. Tooling is made to your drawing, and existing dies are re-run for repeat orders.

What we offer

01

Press range

Presses from 600–6,500 t covering profiles up to 500 mm circumscribing circle, across 6 extrusion lines.

02

Alloys & tempers

6060, 6063, 6005A and 6082 in T5 and T6 tempers; other alloys considered on request.

03

Length & wall

Profiles up to 12,000 mm, wall thickness from 0.7 mm on standard sections — and down to 0.3 mm on small-section work (see below).

04

Tooling

New dies made to your drawing; existing dies re-run for repeat production with consistent process control.

Differentiator

Small-section extrusion expertise

Producing fine, small cross-section profiles is a distinct engineering challenge — thinner walls, tighter dimensional tolerances, and different die-wear behaviour compared to large-profile runs. Many extrusion suppliers optimise for large-section volume work and struggle with small-section tooling and process stability.

CBM Global has built specific in-house experience in small-section extrusion, including:

  • Circumscribing circle down to 2 mm
  • Wall thickness capability from 0.3 mm
  • Straightness and twist control tuned for delicate, thin-wall profiles
  • Typical applications: LED channel housings, compact heat sinks, electronic enclosures, precision hardware and fittings

If your project involves a small or intricate cross-section, this is worth mentioning in your RFQ — it directly affects die design and quoting.

Frequently asked questions

Can you extrude to our existing die, or do you make new tooling?

Both. We re-run your existing die for repeat orders, and we make new tooling to your drawing for a new section. Send the die reference or the profile drawing and we confirm the route with the quote.

What is the smallest section you can extrude?

Our small-section capability goes down to a 2 mm circumscribing circle and wall thickness from 0.3 mm, with straightness and twist control tuned for thin-wall profiles. Send the section and we confirm feasibility.

Which alloys and tempers do you run?

6060, 6063, 6005A and 6082 in T5 and T6 are standard; other alloys are considered on request. Tell us the mechanical requirement and we recommend the alloy and temper.

Can you cut to length and finish in the same place?

Yes. Cutting, straightening, machining, anodizing and powder coating are in-house, so one supplier covers the profile through to the finished, cut part.
