From enquiry to production

01

Feasibility check

We confirm the enclosure section, wall and any thin features are extrudable within our range.

02

Fabrication & finishing

We agree end machining, cut-outs and ports, and the anodized or mill finish (secondary machining and finishing are in-house services).

03

QC & documentation

We confirm dimensional checks on the cavity and any material or finish certificates.

Secondary machining and finishing are handled as in-house services — CNC & machining · Finishing.

Frequently asked questions

Why an extruded aluminium enclosure instead of a sheet-metal or plastic box?

An extruded aluminium enclosure gives a seamless one-piece body with integral board guides, good rigidity and natural heat dissipation and EMI shielding — useful for electronics that run warm. A sheet-metal or plastic box can be cheaper for very simple, low-heat, low-shielding cases; send your requirement and we help you weigh it up.

Can you machine the cut-outs, connector ports and end plates?

Yes — end machining, cut-outs, ports and mounting holes are handled as our CNC & machining service, and anodizing as our finishing service, so the enclosure ships ready to fit. Send the drawing marking the openings.

Can you extrude a compact, thin-wall enclosure section?

Yes — this is where our small-section extrusion capability helps, down to a 2 mm circumscribing circle and 0.3 mm wall on suitable sections. Send the section and we confirm what is extrudable.

Can you make it sealed / weatherproof?

Sealing depends on your gasket, end-cap and joint design rather than the extrusion alone. Tell us the ingress requirement and we confirm the profile features (gasket grooves, end-cap fit) needed to support it.
